Rubbing Is Racing, Just Don't Rub The Wrong Way

I love news shows, but Dateline NBC went a little too far when they “planted Muslims” at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia to see how the crowd would react. I have been to quite a few NASCAR races and if you are not wearing clothes to show who your favorite driver is you are going to stick out. I stuck out and even got a snicker or two from some women who made fun of the fact that I was wearing heels in the pit and garage areas. But despite Dateline’s attempt to stir up what I believe they thought were racist rednecks, the heart of America made me proud. USA Today reported that “NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston said the group walked around outside the track without any reaction from fans.”
Poston also quipped, "It's outrageous that a news organization like NBC would seek to create the news instead of reporting the news."
I love NASCAR!

That is pretty hilarious. We have been watching a lot of these. There was the Dateline “bust a perv” where they set up people stalking kids on the internet just to lured to a Dateline house with Chris Hansen and a bunch of cops waiting for them. Then there was the Primetime “what people do when confronted with ethical issues” Who would have thunk the old redneck in a Savannah GA taxi would be spouting off racist remarks. Some of these are just a wee bit too obvious. They sure do love their hidden cameras, I guess we do too.
Oh yeah... I can not wait for Pocono. Do I have to pick a driver AND get a t-shirt?
Oh yeah... I can not wait for Pocono!!! Do I have to pick a driver AND a t-shirt.
Still, this isn't nearly as bad as when Fox News sent Dick Trickle and Sterling Marlin on a hajj just to see how the other Mecca-bound Muslims were gonna react. That was totally whack.
That is fucked up. And I say this as someone who has:
1. Hired a performance artist to picket my own launch party.
2. Placed fake ads about an unauthorized biography of myself to see what people would send in abbout me.
3. Called Jack Brewer all the time for about two years pretending he was in my parking space.
I am a terrible person. Now you all know!
all media is phoney today. i don't think 60 Minutes, Dateline, Fox, CNN, or anyone (boring PBS Newshour notwihstanding) any more credibility than say, Playgirl.
